New series of webinars on tidal energy announced
Marine-i would like to alert marine tech businesses in Cornwall to a series of webinars being run by TIGER project (Tidal Stream Industry Energiser).
TIGER, is an ambitious €45.4m project, of which €29.9m comes from the European Regional Development Fund via the Interreg France (Channel) England Programme. The project lead is OREC (Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult) which is a partner in Marine-i. The project aims to build cross-border partnerships to develop new technologies, test and demonstrate up to 8 MW of new tidal capacity at a number of locations around the Channel region, and use the learning from this development to drive the development of tidal energy as part of the France/UK energy mix.
The project is the largest ever to be approved not only by the France (Channel) England Programme but by any Interreg programme. More information about TIGER can be found at www.interregtiger.com
